WHAT WE DO

Our Background

Joymac training specialises in Mental Healthcare, First Aid, Safety, Mandatory and General Healthcare training, offering a total of 28 courses to our customers. Our training facilitators are fully qualified as Instructors in all courses and we have been appointed by several Organisations as their preferred provider.

We have been appointed by the Irish Heart Foundation as an Affiliated site for their BLS, CPR & ECC Training programmes and the Environmental Health Association of Ireland (EHAI) to train the Primary Course in Food Safety Level 2.


Our purpose is to deliver the highest quality compliant training to ensure that staff are fully equipped with the knowledge and skills to deal with daily duties and improve their own lives as well as that of others. Our testimonials reflect our commitment to this purpose.

Garry McWade

Director / Training Facilitator

About Garry

Garry was employed in the Hospitality and Healthcare industry in Ireland from 1997 where he held various senior positions until branching out and starting Joymac Training in 2017. He is certified through the American Heart Association and Irish Heart Foundation as an Instructor in BLS, CPR-AED and Cardiac First Response. He is also a qualified Manual Handling Instructor, Fire Warden / Fire Marshall / Fire Safety Instructor and holds a QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer qualification. He is a licenced trainer of the EHAI (Environmental Health Association of Ireland) to conduct the Primary Course in Food Safety HACCP training programme and is also licenced through Healthcare Trainers Network as an accredited trainer. Garry is a member of the AoHT (Association of Healthcare Trainers, Ireland) and is an Associate of The Irish Institute of Training & Development (IITD).

Hayley Dunn

Training Facilitator

About Hayley

Hayley began her career in the Travel Industry and moved into teaching, working with Primary School children who required additional support. She obtained a Professional Development Award (Education Support Assistance) SCQF LEVEL 6 through the Scottish Qualifications Authority. Hayley is certified through the American Heart Association and Irish Heart Foundation as an Instructor in BLS and CPR-AED and Cardiac First Response and is qualified in Paediatric First Aid (Emergency Care). She is also a qualified Manual Handling Instructor and a licenced Healthcare Trainers Network accredited trainer.

Hayley successfully completed a 16 week Train the Trainer QNUK Certified Program in Mental Health Awareness specialising in identifying Mental Health conditions.


Nicholas McWade

About Nicholas

Nick joined Joymac training in 2021. Nick spent 6 years in the military as a Communications Specialist before moving into the IT Industry where he was employed as Senior Solutions Engineer with Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Nick holds a QQI Level 5 in Engineering and Electronics and QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer qualification. He is a certified Manual Handling, Fire Warden / Fire Marshall / Fire Safety Instructor. Nick is certified through the American Heart Association and Irish Heart Foundation as an Instructor in CPR-AED and Cardiac First Response and is also a PHECC First Aid Responder. Nick is a licenced Healthcare Trainers Network accredited trainer.

Tracey Benney

About Tracey

Tracey joined the Joymac team in April 2024. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) from the University of Kwazulu-Natal, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of South Africa as well as a Masters of Science (Dementia) from the University of Stirling. Tracey has a wide variety of experience having volunteered in under resourced psychiatric and pediatric burns units in the provision of Diversional therapy in South Africa, 5 years experience working in Irish Nursing homes in the Development of Person Centred bespoke activity programmes as well as 2 years as a Community based Geriatric Social Care Professional.

Donald Vinnicombe

About Donald

Donald joined Joymac training on 1st October 2022 as a Training Facilitator. For the past 7 years he has worked as a Personal Trainer , Group Fitness Professional & Life style coach partnered with one of Ireland's top fitness facilities . Voted Best Personal Trainer by Nutramino Health in 2019 he went on to develop his business thoughout the COVID pandemic. Donald is accredited with an EQF Level 4 – the highest European standard for a National Qualification in Exercise, Health Studies and Personal Training ( NTC Dublin ). He is also a qualified Manual Handling Instructor and Fire Warden / Fire Marshall / Fire Safety Instructor.

Jordan Rotchill

About Jordan

Jordan hails from Canada and started her career, like many, at a young age in the fast-food industry in Ontario. Moving on with her studies she focused on Business Management in College before deciding to take some time to travel, see the world and gain invaluable life experiences. In 2008 she moved to Ireland where she worked extensively in the Hospitality industry. Jordan lived for 5 years in Barcelona before returning to Ireland in 2021 and joined Joymac training. She assists in the administration and accounting departments whilst studying to become a Training Facilitator.


Jennifer McWade

About Jennifer

Jennifer started her career in the Travel Industry in 1978 in Southern Africa working in Travel Agencies, Airlines and Computer Reservations Systems. She moved to Ireland in 1997 to take up the position as General Manager for Radisson Hotels International in their EMEA Corporate office. In 2019 after the Corporate office closed their Dublin operation, Jennifer joined Joymac Training as a Director, working actively behind the scenes handling all administration and accounting responsibilities. Jennifer is the backbone of the Company and contributes immeasurably to its continued success.

Andrew Dunne

About Andrew

Andrew has worked as a Holistic nutritionist, a brand ambassador for Robot-coupe Ireland, a Dysphagia chef consultant for a medical company and an IDDSI facilitator. Andrew has been in professional cookery for the past 23 years with 12 of those years focused within Residential Care. Andrew brings a wealth of experience to the Joymac team and fully understands the logistics around food modifications in the kitchen and the importance of implementing the IDDSI framework into Providers facilities without compromising the patients care. Andrew has a proven track record when it comes to raising the standards of patients food which allow the social settings and the nutritional intake to improve.
